Clinical and epidemiologic investigation of encephalitis in a large pediatric population / American Academy of Pediatrics.
Among 231 children with confirmed encephalitis, we found higher than expected prevalence of West Nile virus, Bartonella spp., and autoimmune disease despite infrequent testing for these causes.
