Description
Summary:This profile uses rare interview footage with Metallica band members to reveal the men behind the legend, and also tells how the Grammy Award winners stay grounded in spite of their ascension to metal demigod status. This film contains many never-seen interviews, exploring the true lives of these larger-than-life heroes. Footage is taken from around the globe, including tours in Germany and Australia. Formed in October 1981, Metallica has since sold over 90 million albums, making them one of the most commercially successful heavy metal acts in music history. Their hit "Enter Sandman" is included in an exhibit at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as one of 500 songs that have shaped rock 'n' roll. Metallica has managed to keep their feet fixed firmly on the ground, regardless of their massive media presence and millions of fans. This program is sure to enlighten fans new and old!
